 We accept deposits to hold our babies until they are weaned and ready to go to their new homes! Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are only accepted to hold unweaned babies, we do NOT hold breeder birds with a deposit. Breeder birds must be paid in full at the time of purchase. The balance is due at or prior to weaning. We will accept payments throughout the weaning process or you can pay the balance in full upon pick up. No birds will leave our home until they are paid in full. Shipping and crate fee must also be paid in full, for those birds that are being shipped, prior to shipment. Quaker Sales Baby Quakers will not be sold to individuals who live in a state in which it is illegal to own them. We will not ship a baby to an individual who lives in these states, nor will we allow pick up. Quakers are illegal in the following states: California, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Wyoming. (INDIAN RINGNECKS are also illegal to own in NEW JERSEY, so the same policy applies to them for this state!) Quakers must have clipped wings in Ohio. While we would love to sell you one of our Quaker babies, if you live in one of the states which ban their ownership, we would be happy to talk with you and help you determine a different species of parrot that would fit into your family. Health Guarantee We guarantee all of our babies against hereditary defect and they are guaranteed to be free from Polyoma Virus, Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease, and other viral or untreatable illness. Babies should be seen by an avian veterinarian within 72 hours of leaving our possession. We will only guarantee against defects or illness that are diagnosed by an avian vet within 72 hours of leaving our care! All tests and blood work must be drawn within this 72 hour window. We use and highly recommend Dr. Jamie Lindstrom of Animal Clinic Northview in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Dr. Lindstrom is an excellent Avian Vet for those local to the Cleveland area. WE DO NOT SELL UNWEANED BABIES to the public under any circumstances. There are times when we will, and have, sold babies to other experienced breeders. Please note, while we are confident that our babies are completely healthy, we will not guarantee an unweaned baby under any circumstance. When an unweaned baby leaves our care we are no longer in control of the conditions in which it is raised nor can we control what other birds it is exposed to. All unweaned babies carry no guarantee. Our reasons for not selling unweaned babies are not only to protect ourselves, but they are also in place to protect our babies and our customers! Shipping We ship birds year round through the airlines. Delta Airlines can be used when temperatures are over 40 degrees and under 80 degrees. Delta Airlines shipping is $135 which includes a brand new carrier for small and medium sized parrots. Continental Airlines shipping can be used year round. WE WILL ONLY SHIP CONTINENTAL AIRLINES FROM DECEMBER THROUGH MARCH unless there is a break in temperature both here and at the arrival location. Continental airlines shipping is $175 which includes a brand new carrier for small and medium sized parrots. When shipping Macaws (Severe or Larger), Amazons, African Greys, and other similarly sized parrots we will need to use a larger carrier. The carrier upgrade fee for these parrots is an additional $10. Visiting Your Baby Baby visits and pick up are by appointment only. Pick up and visits are held on the weekends only and should be scheduled at least seven days in advance. For the safety of our breeder birds and our other babies we do not allow visitors into our breeding rooms nor do we allow visitors to handle other babies that are already under deposit. We ask that those who are visiting their babies do not handle other birds or visit a pet shop or other breeder’s residence prior to coming to our home. This is not only for our other birds safety, but also for the safety of your baby! Payment We prefer and accept paypal for our deposits and payments. We can send an invoice, through paypal, to your email box that can be paid with a paypal account, credit card, or debit card. If you are unable to use paypal, we will accept a postal money order. (Postal money orders only!) If using a postal money order, we will need a delivery confirmation and tracking number within 48 hours. We will not hold a baby without proof that a payment has been sent. For birds being picked up in our home, final payment is accepted as cash only (unless paypal is arranged prior to final pickup.) We will not accept a money order or personal check upon pick up. |
